The Museum of Architecture and Life of the Peoples of the Volga Region was opened on June 3, 1973. On the basis of its property on January 1, 2014 was created Architectural and Ethnographic Museum-Reserve “Shchelokovsky Farm”. The territory of the museum is 35.9 hectares and is a section of forest of 1 category, divided by two deep ravines into three unequal parts.
