The Old Believers' community in the Lithuanian city of Kaunas is one of the oldest in the Baltic States: it dates back to the first quarter of the 19th century. For more than a century, the St. Nicholas prayer house, built in 1905-1906, has been the place of common prayer for the local Christians-Pomors.
