Persepolis (Pers dilinde: Parsa, Farsça: تخت جمشید/پارسه, Taht-ı Cemşîd), İran'ın Fars Eyaleti'ndeki Şiraz şehrinin 60 km kuzeydoğusundadır.
Pers İmparatorluğu'nun başkenti olan Persepolis, MÖ 6. yüzyıl sonlarına doğru Pers Kralı I. Darius (Dara) tarafından kurulmuştur. Darius'dan sonra tahta çıkan I. Serhas (Xerxes) ve Artakserkses (Ardaşir) şehri büyüterek çeşitli anıtlarla doldurmuşlardır.
MÖ 331'de Büyük İskender Persleri yenerek şehri yaktı. Bundan sonra şehir toprak yığınları altında kendi haline terkedildi. 1930'larda başlayan arkeolojik çalışmalarla şehir yeniden ortaya çıkarılmıştır.
