Peter Bolesław Schmeichel (d. 18 Kasım 1963, Gladsaxe), kaleci olarak görev yapmış Danimarkalı eski millî futbolcudur.
İngiliz kulübü Manchester United'da sekiz sezon boyunca, 1999 UEFA Şampiyonlar Ligi Finalinde kulübün kaptanlığını yaparak Üçlü'yü tamamladı. Ayrıca 1992 Avrupa Futbol Şampiyonası'nı kazandığı Danimarka millî takımında da forma giydi.
Aktif olduğu yıllarda dünyanın en iyi kalecilerinden biri olarak görülmüştür. Özellikle son dakikalarda attığı kafa golleriyle hafızalara kazınmıştır.
2003 yılında Schmeichel, İngiliz futbolu üzerindeki etkisi nedeniyle İngiliz Futbol Onur Listesi'ne alındı.
