Aktobe Regional Philharmonic named after G. Zhubanova was founded one of the very first in Kazakhstan, back in September 1944. In 1998, the institution was named after a talented musician, composer and public figure of Kazakhstan – Gaziza Zhubanova. In 2017, the largest art center in the entire western region of Kazakhstan, "Oner Ortalygy", was built and opened at the Philharmonic Hall.
