The Ulan-Ude Ethnographic Museum is an outdoor museum, located in the village Upper Berezovka, eight kilometres northeast of Ulan-Ude, Buryatia. Overview[edit]. The museum opened on July 6, 1973, and is one of the largest open air museums in Russia, covering an area of 37 hectares.
