Seokchon Lake is also known as Songpa Naru Park, and it’s located in surprise surprise, Songpa-gu on the east side of Seoul. Contrary to popular belief, Seokchon isn’t an artificial lake. It was created in 1971, during the Hangang Riverbed development project, when silt accumulated upstream and part of the Han River was separated into a lake.
