The Maritime Museum Rotterdam has a diverse collection that contains ship models, paintings, cartography, pictures, furniture of ships, clothes and navigation equipment, amongst others. The core collection dates from 1852 and these days the permanent collection contains more than 850.000 objects of six centuries of maritime history.
