- Two smaller buildings adjoin the wings of Independence Hall: Old City Hall to the east, and Congress Hall to the west.
- Independence Hall was built between 1732 and 1756 as the State House of the Province of Pennsylvania. It is one of Philadelphia's most popular attractions.
- In January and February (except holiday weekends), entrance to Independence Hall is by tour only, but no tickets are required. Entrance is first-come, first-served.
- If you’re someone who does things in the nick of time, you can still get the tickets for Independence Hall from the NPS as they always hold them aside.
