Holy Cross Cathedral is a Russian Orthodox church of the mid-19th century, located in the southern part of the city on the territory of the Zaretsky cemetery. Its full name is the Cathedral in the Name of the Exaltation of the Precious and Life-Giving Cross of the Lord. It was erected quite quickly thanks to the generous donations of city residents and, in particular, the Petrozavodsk merchant Pimenov.
