The monument to Chapaev was erected in 1932 on the fifteenth anniversary of the October Revolution on the square in front of the Drama Theatre. Architect Iosif Langbard, sculptor Matvey Manizer. The height of the monument is 10 meters. This is the first multi-figured sculptural composition created under the Soviet regime.
