  • The Church of Saint Ildefonso (Igreja de Santo Ildefonso) is a church named after Ildefonso of Toledo, a scientist and theologian. It was built in the 18th century in the Portuguese Baroque style and painted by the Italian artist and architect Nicolau Nasoni. In November 1932, the facade of the church was decorated with 11,000 azulejo tiles with images from the life of Saint Ildefonso, as well as images from the Gospels created by the artist Jorge Colazo.
