The Appalachian Mountains, are considered one of the largest mountain systems in North America. It forms a parallel line with the Atlantic coast and runs through Quebec, to the northern part of Alabama.
The length of this mountain system is about 2500 kilometers, the width of the Mountains it can exceed 500 kilometers and its greatest height is 2200 meters above sea level.
Etymologically the word Appalachian has an indigenous origin.
