The Museum of the City of New York celebrates and interprets its home, seeking to connect the past, present, and future of New York. The museum was founded in 1923 by writer Henry Collins Brown and now houses a collection of more than 750,000 objects spanning painting, photography, sculpture, decorative arts, toys and theatrical memorabilia.
