The Brest Art Museum is a recently opened branch of the Brest Museum of Local Lore. It is located in the restored South Barracks of the Brest Fortress. The opening took place on May 17, 2002. Despite its youth, the museum has a solid collection of contemporary art. It stores over 2 thousand units of painting, sculpture, graphics, arts and crafts.
