Mısır mitolojisinde güneş tanrısıdır. Kutsal merkezi Heliopolis'tir. Genellikle başında bir disk bulunan şahin kafalı insan biçiminde canlandırılmıştır. Eski tanrı Atum'la bir tutularak; IV. sülale döneminde devlet tanrısı olmuştur.
