Popüler bir müzik türüdür. Bu tür kendi içerisinde eski dönem saf Punk Rock, Doo-Wop, Rockabilly esintilerini korku filmi temaları, özellikle Zombi konulu filmlerin öğeleri ile harmanlamıştır. Parçalar genel olarak diğer Punk örneklerinde olduğu gibi kısa sürelidir. Bu tarzın ortaya çıkışı, Danzig'in kurduğu efsanevi grup The Misfits'in ortaya çıkış tarihi olan 1977 yılı ile doğru orantılıdır. Parçalarında klasik B sınıfı korku filmlerinin isimlerini kullanan grup o yıllarda büyük başarı elde etmiştir.
