BMW 5 Serisi'nin BMW'nin yan kuruluşu BMW M GmbH tarafından üretilen yüksek performanslı modelidir. İlk M5 1985 yılında çıkmış olup günümüze kadar beş nesil boyunca üretilmiştir. Günümüz nesli ise F90 koduyla bilinmektedir. BMW M5'in başlıca rakipleri Mercedes-AMG E 63 ve Audi RS6'dır.
