Jerome K. Jerome (1859-1927) wrote the book: Three Men in a Boat (To Say Nothing of the Dog). It is a humorous book about three men (George, Harris and the narrator) and a dog travelling on the river Thames from Kingston upon Thames to Oxford and back to Kingston.
