The aptly named Dinosaur National Monument is a federally protected area located along the borders of the US states of Colorado and Utah. It is particularly well known for its plethora of paleontological sites that contain hundreds of dinosaur fossils. It also features superb natural landscapes and it preserves many important cultural sites.
