  • If you are visiting Melbourne City in Victoria for the first time, be sure to include the Great Ocean Road drive in your travel itinerary.
  • The nearest major city is Melbourne and it’s a popular day or side trip from there (it’s where we visited from). The Great Ocean Road drive is 243km (151 miles) long.
  • A timeframe of three days or longer is ideal to drive the Great Ocean Road, as there are so many rock formations and lovely seaside towns to see.
