The Bard's Tale IV: Barrows Deep is the latest The Bard's Tale sequel currently under development by inXile Entertainment. It was released on September 18, 2018 on PC, with a launch for PS4 and XBox One later in the year. A 'Directors Cut' edition was released in August 2019, which featured enhanced options and interfaces (including an option to play "80's style" with grid-based movement and no automapping) as well as a number of bug fixes.
