Mağara Kompleksi
Fransa'nın güneybatısındaki Dordogne ilindeki Montignac köyü yakınlarında yer alan mağara kompleksidir. 600'den fazla paryetal duvar resmi mağaranın iç duvarlarını ve tavanlarını süslemektedir. Resimler öncelikle Üst Paleolitik zamanın fosil kayıtlarına uygun olan tipik yerel ve çağdaş faunaya aittir. Birçok kuşağın mağara resimlerinde etkisi olduğu düşünülmektedir ve resimler günümüzden 17,000 yıl öncesine tarihlenmektedir. Lascaux 1979 yılında UNESCO tarafından Dünya Mirası listesine girdi ve Vézère Vadisi'ndeki Tarihöncesi Alanlar ve Dekore Edilmiş Mağaralar Dünya Mirası Alanı'nın bir parçası haline geldi.
