Çin'in kuzeydoğusunda bulunan bir eyalet. "Heilongjiang"'ın asıl anlamı 'Kara Ejderha Nehri'; bu, Amur Nehri'nin Çince ismidir. Heilongjiang'ın tek karakterli kısaltılması 黑 'dir. Bölgenin Mançuca ismi, "Sahalin" isminin türettiği Sahaliyan ula 'dır; aynı anlamı taşıyan Moğolca ismi ise Qaramörin.
