  • Japan uses right hand drive (i.e. the steering wheel is on the right hand side of the car, and you drive on the left hand side of the road). This is similar to the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand etc. Cars built in Japan for the Japanese domestic market are all right hand drive.
