Leaving Rome - We woke up in the morning at our hotel in Rome, and we walked over to the Metro, headed to Termini station, and jumped on the airport bus to the airport. Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport in Rome was a little disorganized and the service wasn’t very good at all. But luckily we made it on our flight from Rome to Stockholm03:36
SAS flight from Rome to Stockholm - The flight took about 3 hours, and on the flight we were served a lunch box, that included a fusion of Asian and Scandinavian food. We arrived to Stockholm Arlanda Airport, and decided to take the bus from the airport to the area of Stockholm where we were staying, near to Fridhemsplan Station. The Flygbussarna Bus ride costs 119 SEK ($13.93) per person07:00
Check into Courtyard Marriott, Stockholm (Courtyard Stockholm Kungsholmen) - After getting off the bus, we walked over to our hotel and check in. The service and staff were great10:21
Pelikan Restaurant - For dinner on our first night in Stockholm I wanted to eat some traditional and delicious Swedish food, and so I chose to go to Pelikan Restaurant, a restaurant many of you had recommended to traditional Swedish food. The restaurant is an absolute classic. To start off our meal, I ordered steak tartare (rabiff), which was an amazing dish, I’m still dreaming about it. Then I saw roasted reindeer on the menu and there was nothing I could do to keep myself from ordering it. The reindeer steak turned out to be incredibly delicious, so juicy and so tender. Finally, one of the most popular and well known Swedish foods in the world are Swedish meatballs, and so I also ordered Pelikan’s Swedish meatballs. They were delicious. Our entire meal at Pelikan restaurant was fantastic. Total price - 668 SEK ($78.19)
